Mikko received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia (1998), and a BFA in Graphic Design with a Printmaking concentration from the Corcoran College of Art + Design (2006).
Mikko received the Printmaking Faculty Award from the Corcoran College of Art + Design (2006), attended the Crown Point Press Summer Workshop (2008), received the ArtBridge Fellowship Award from Pratt Fine Arts (2009-2010), and has shown at Seattle Art Museum Gallery ("Introductions", 2011).
She is also an accomplished Graphic Designer and her independent work has been published in Rockport Publications' "1000 Handmade Greetings", and "Building Design Portfolios: Innovative Concepts for Presenting Your Work".
Born and raised in the Washington, DC area, Mikko now resides in Washington state. She is of South Korean heritage.
